When Anxiety Keeps Coming Back, It’s a Pattern - Not a Personal Failure

Trauma-informed clinical hypnotherapy in Cairns — for adults whose patterns keep returning despite everything they've already tried.In-person in Cairns | Online worldwide

Start with a Conversation. 30 minutes. Complimentary.

Why the Patterns Keeps Returning

For many people, the patterns aren’t unfamiliar. They’ve been thought about, reflected on — sometimes understood in detail.

And still, they return.

Because most patterns aren’t held at the level of conscious thought. They were formed earlier — as ways of responding, adapting, or staying safe. And they continue to run, even when they’re no longer needed.

Insight creates awareness. But it doesn’t always create change.

This is where clinical hypnotherapy works differently. It works with what’s driving the pattern — at the level it was formed.

This is where these patterns often show up

These patterns don’t always look the same —but they tend to show up in consistent ways.

Anxiety & Emotional Regulation

Anxiety that keeps returning — even when you’ve tried to manage it. A system that stays activated, even after the moment has passed.

→ This work supports regulation at the root.

Trauma & Emotional Imprints

Experiences that still feel present in your body,
even when they’re in the past.

→ The response begins to shift, not just the memory.

Overthinking & Cognitive Loops

Constant analysis, second-guessing, or mental looping
that doesn’t lead to resolution.

→ Thought patterns become quieter and less consuming.

Relationship Patterns

You find yourself repeating the same dynamics —
overgiving, withdrawing, or feeling stuck in familiar roles.

→ Patterns begin to feel steadier and less reactive.

Self-Worth & Inner Narrative

A persistent sense of not being enough,
or an internal voice that’s difficult to shift.

→ A more stable and grounded sense of self can emerge.

Grief & Life Transitions

A loss, change, or shift in identity
that’s harder to move through than expected.

→ Space to process what’s changed, and find steadier ground.

What to Expect

A structured, paced approach to working with patterns at their root.

We begin with a short conversation — 15 minutes, complimentary, no obligation. It's a chance to understand what's brought you here and whether this approach feels like the right fit.

From there, the first session focuses on building the foundation. We take time to understand the pattern — when it began, what it's been protecting, and what your system needs in order to feel safe enough to shift. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes.

Most clients work with me across a series of sessions, typically fortnightly. The pace is shaped by what your system can integrate — not a fixed schedule. We check in regularly so you always have a sense of where we are and where we're headed.

The work builds on itself. Each session tends to open something the last one prepared.

What Clients Say

Ayla Jung, Auckland

"I'd spent years in therapy understanding where my anxiety came from. Working with Kumi was the first time something actually shifted beneath the understanding."

Ritu Arora, Online

"I came in sceptical. I left three sessions in wondering why I'd waited so long. The work is quiet but it's real."

Swathi, Cairns

"She doesn't rush you. She doesn't push. But somehow things move. I feel steadier in a way I can't fully explain — which is probably the point."
